What happens in Vegas...

To go or not to go...I have been invited to go to Vegas with a few member of a softball team I played with last year and I am really excited.  I sent away for my passport (finally) and if I hear back in time, then I get to go!  At first I was a little afraid to go, being as its Las Vegas...Sin City...The Hangover! lol  But I think that if I keep to my budget, and only go to the shows I want to go to, I should be good! Not into gambling at all really, might try out a few things, but Im not a roulette or blackjack player by far, so Lion King here I come!

Lazyness, sometimes good, sometimes bad.

Since this year was the "Dads" turns to have the kids over the Christmas break, I learned how to be the definition of lazy!  First day, I didn't know what to do with myself with the house so quiet, but the days after that were quite welcomed! It had been years since I had the chance to roll out of bed at noon and stay in my jammies all day and do absolutely nothing! The house had been recleaned twice, so I really didn't have anything to do....at all.  I've learned how to play Super Mario on the Wii, great fun by the way, and I have the entire schedule of the Food network memorized!  Christmas was great, got to spend it with my niece Peyton, it was her very first Christmas! It was so cute watching her learn how to open presents and be all excited over the wrapping paper.  We had a huge turkey, and between the 7 of us that were here over dinner, we only ate just less than half the bird.  I had leftovers for the entire week.  I'm not complaining at all, but theres only so much turkey a person can eat!  School restarts tomorrow and I don't even know if I am going to be able to get up at 7am to get the kids ready.  I spent my entire vacation staying up way too late and killing my kids school schedule! Think its bed time right after the Canucks game tonight, so hopefully I can guarantee myself 8 hours of sleep!

Too much time on my hands if I am blogging!

Hi all, I have never blogged before today, however, I am an avid Facebooker, so I am thinking this isn't too much different.  So you may have to excuse shortened words and abbreviations in my writing, as I have become accustomed to short form chatting. I think I like the idea of blogging to vent, share and maybe receive advice when needed.  I am a single mother of 4 children.  My oldest child is Abigail and she is almost 12 years old and my only girl.  Then there is Cody, he has recently turned 9, Ethan who is 6 and lastly Myles who just turned 4 before Christmas.  You'd think that I don't have too much time on my hands, but then I find myself hiding from them and looking for something to fill my time with.  Is that bad? lol...I  don't think so.  When I am not hiding from my kids you will find me in the kitchen.  I spend the majority of my time there, cooking, baking and making grocery list for the next cooking and baking day.  Not gunna lie...I love food and everything about it, so its not surprising to learn that I am a bit overweight, haha.  This is getting worked on as we speak.  I will always love food, I just have to learn to not love so much at once!  I can see how blogging can be therapeutic...because as I am writing just now, 4 children are running around the house screaming and playing and I totally didn't hear them till I tuned out and back into the living room!  I could get used to this!
